“Choices: The Power to Shape Your Destiny”
Scripture: “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” –Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)
Every day we make choices, some small and seemingly insignificant, others life-changing. But every choice, no matter how small, is a seed that produces fruit. The sum of our choices determines the direction of our lives. God has given us the power of free will, and with it, the incredible responsibility of decision.
Adam and Eve’s choice in the garden affected generations. Joshua told Israel, “Choose you this day whom ye will serve.” Elijah challenged the people, “How long halt ye between two opinions?” The truth is, our choices reveal who or what we truly serve.
Choosing God is not a one-time decision made at an altar; it’s a daily act of surrender. When we choose forgiveness over bitterness, faith over fear, obedience over convenience, and truth over compromise, we align ourselves with God’s purpose and protection. But when we choose sin, pride, or unbelief, we drift from HIS will and open doors to pain and confusion.
God never forces us to do right, but HE clearly shows us the way of blessing. Every temptation is an opportunity to choose trust. And every moment is a chance to choose life.
Your future is not determined by your past, but by your next choice. No matter how many wrong turns you’ve made, you can choose today to return to God. Like the prodigal son, the power of a single decision can turn your story around.
Choose life. Choose faith. Choose Christ. The direction you set today determines the destination you reach tomorrow.
