The Straight and Narrow Is Not Popular: Don’t Be Deceived

Jesus described the way to life as straight and narrow, not because He wanted it difficult, but because truth always requires a decision.

“Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” – Matthew 7:14 (KJV)

The narrow way:

  • Offends the flesh
  • Requires obedience
  • Demands daily surrender
  • Refuses shortcuts

This is why anything won’t go.

Grace is free, but discipleship is costly.

When anything goes, Truth goes first!

The broad road thrives on this philosophy:

  • “God understands”
  • “I’m still growing”
  • “Everyone does it”

But Scripture does not say, “Anything goes.”

It says:

“Be ye holy; for I am holy.” – 1 Peter 1:16 (KJV)

When anything goes:

  • Conviction fades
  • Holiness is redefined
  • Obedience becomes optional
  • Truth becomes relative

The road becomes wider, and God’s voice becomes quieter.

You see The Narrow Way is Marked by the Cross

Jesus never hid the cost.

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” – Luke 9:23 (KJV)

The narrow road is not about perfection, but direction.  It is not about knowing everything, but obeying what you know.

You cannot carry the cross and the baggage of the old raod at the same time.

You just Choose the Road You Don’t Know, But God Does!

Faith often means leaving what you know for Who you trust.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

Abraham didn’t know where he was going, but he knew Who was leading.

The narrow road may feel lonely, but it is watched by heaven, walked by saints, and crowned with life.

Decide the Road

Every soul stands at a crossroads.

One road says:

“I’ll take what’s familiar.”

The other says:

“I’ll follow truth -even when it costs me.”

Jesus did not say the broad road leads to struggle.  He said it leads to destruction!

And He did not say the narrow road leads to comfort.  He said it leads to life!

“Choose you this day whom ye will serve.” -Joshua 24:15 (KJV)

Because in the Kingdom of God, anything won’t go!
